This is awesome.
I am in the middle of making mine, hope it ends up looking as professional as yours
Makerbot, eat your heart out.
In other news, how much did that sucker cost to put together? That 80/20 stock seems to be fairly priced, considering it’s solid chunks of aluminum, but how does it stack up against lasercut plexi or plywood, or the standard Mendel?
We have been following your site for a bit now here at core.form-ula and have been really impressed in its progress. Currently we are putting together a makerbot as a prototype and planed on moving onto a machine that was constructed out of extruded aluminum much like yours. We would like to know if your T-Rep 2 Prototype project is open source and if so are any of the source files or parts lists available? If not would you consider fabricating and selling one?
I’ve been working on a similar design and I was wondering if you use 20mm or 30mm T-slot.
